In order to broaden the public's understanding of packaging and to encourage excellence and innovation, the PCA conducts a series of Awards which are run annually. An Awards program is held for the packaging and design industry, tertiary design students as well as primary and secondary students.

These include:

The APA are open to - brand owners, designers, printers and manufacturers, producers, SME's, foodies, retailers, transport and logistics - in fact anyone involved in the creation of packaging.

Success at the APA has helped previous winners - attract new clients, reward employees, boost company profile within the industry and help draw the best talent to their organisation.
